Announcing the 2023 Recipient of the Turner Boyd Seraphine Women in Intellectual Property Pipeline Scholarship, Amir Filabs

Turner Boyd Seraphine LLP is delighted to announce this year's recipient of the TBS Women in IP Pipeline Scholarship. Amir Filabs immigrated to the U.S. from Egypt at two, and is a biotechnology major/chemistry minor who has researched the effect of a CBD diet on the gut microbiome of the fruit fly.

Amir's application is a reminder for all of us in this field: "I recognize that innovation often outpaces regulations, leading to ethical dilemmas. I'm drawn to law because of its transformative role in shaping and enforcing regulations that maximize the benefits of STEM while preserving ethics and security. . . . Ultimately, my passion for law is driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact at the intersection of science, technology, and justice."
